The 4th World Computer Bridge Championship was held September 1 through 5, 2000 in conjunction with Bridge Olympiad 2000, held in Maastricht, The Netherland. This year's World Computer Bridge Championship was supported by the WBF and ACBL, and sponsored by MSN Gaming Zone. Al Levy, a member of the ACBL Board of Directors, is the creator of the World Computer Bridge Championship and acted as the organizer and coordinator of this year's event.
Nine computer programs from around the world competed in the MSN Gaming Zone World Computer Bridge Championship.
| Results (2000 Maastricht)
The event started with the nine participants playing a 12-board round robin. The top four programs from the round robin played a 40-board semifinal match and the winners played a 50-board final. |
Comments: All programs are very close in strength. Meadowlark Bridge got through the tough game and took the championship. Micro Bridge was bottom, but we hope Micro Bridge was a little bit unlucky this time. Round Robin results (WBF 25VP scale)
