Update This is an updated module of Micro Bridge 9. Download the following self extracting archive file into a temporary folder, run the archive file, and read the enclosed README.TXT. MODIFICATION: 1) The play algorithm and the bidding data base are improved.(9.01) The following bugs are fixed. 2) If you choose the different signals for NS and EW pairs, computer will misunderstand opponents' signals.(9.01) 3) Windows 2000 can not recognize Micro Bridge 9 CD under some circumstances (9.01) 4) Install Tournament Data can not recognize USB FDD drives. (9.02) 5) Closed Room Player still has the bug 2). (9.02) 6) Several minor bugs including the bidding data base. (9.02) 7) Key Code does not work on Windows NT and Windows 2000. (9.02) 8) Two minor bugs in bid and play routine. (9.03) 9) General protection fault on Windows XP. See below. (9.03) Technical Information 1) Norton AntiVirus may cause the following error when installing Micro Bridge. It may be a bug of Norton that also affects some other applications. "Exception EResNotFound in module setup.exe at xxxx:xxxx. Resource Tformstup not found" If you receive the above error, please turn off Norton AntiVirus and install Micro Bridge. 2) The Key Code mechanism to run Micro Bridge without its CD does not work on Windows NT and 2000. (Version 9.00 and 9.01) 3) Windows XP seems to change its memory management system, and I guess this causes "General protection fault" against 9.02 or earlier version. The update module 9.03 usually works well on Windows XP. However, there are still some uncertainties because the cause of the error is not clear.
